How It Works

The Fotona laser is a medical aesthetic system that uses two complementary laser wavelengths (𝐸𝑟∶𝑌𝐴𝐺, 𝑁𝑑∶𝑌𝐴𝐺) to perform a variety of treatments, including skin resurfacing, rejuvenation, skin tightening, hair removal and MUCH MORE. It works by delivering precise laser pulses to the skin, which can either remove surface layers for rejuvenation or heat deeper layers to stimulate collagen production, resulting in a wide range of applications with minimal downtime. Key technologies include Variable Square Pulse (VSP) for controlled energy delivery and different modes for a variety of treatments. 

How It Works

Dual-wavelength technology: The Fotona system combines 𝐸𝑟∶𝑌𝐴𝐺 and 𝑁𝑑∶𝑌𝐴𝐺 lasers to treat different depths of the skin.

Er∶YAG laser: This wavelength is absorbed by water in skin cells, allowing for precise, micron-level ablation of the epidermis. This stimulates new collagen and can be used for skin resurfacing, tightening, and peels.

Nd∶YAG laser: This wavelength penetrates deeper into the skin to heat the tissue without damaging the surface. This is used for deep heating to tighten the skin and for procedures like hair reduction.

VSP technology: Variable Square Pulse technology ensures that laser energy is delivered in controlled square pulses, which allows for rapid temperature increases in target structures while minimally affecting surrounding tissue.

Fractional treatments: The laser can be used to create thousands of microscopic treatment zones, which stimulates the body's natural healing response for faster recovery compared to traditional ablative treatments.
